New!! Seymour Duncan Blackout Humbucker
9-volt active humbucker for aggressive playing styles. Recommended for old school metal, garage, punk, thrash, drop tunings, and other heavy rock styles.
The "other" USA-made active humbuckers use unbalanced inputs in a differential preamp. The problem is, an unbalanced differential preamp is not very effective at cancelling hum. Our engineers figured out how to capture the tone that players want in an active design, but using balanced inputs. The result is 12dB to 14dB less noise, plus more lows, more highs, and more output. Simply put, Blackouts have more tone than other active pickups.
Blackouts are available in individual neck and bridge models, or as a two-pickup set. All versions come with all necessary mounting hardware, including pots, jack, and a battery clip.
For all humbucker guitars. The blade magnets make this pickup suitable for both humbucker and Trembucker string spacings.

New!! Seymour Duncan Alternative 8 SH-15
High output humbucker with Alnico 8 magnet for extra output. Perfect for all rock styles and great for use with high gain amps.
Seymour Duncan's first production pickup to use an Alnico 8 magnet, the Alternative 8 starts with hot coils wound for maximum output. With the addition of the Alnico 8 magnet, output is enhanced with a huge, punchy sound, full of fat mids and present upper-mids. This is a dynamic pickup that doesnt get sizzly or dark like some high-output ceramic magnet pickups.
Recommended for bridge position. Matches great with a moderate output neck pickup like the SH-1n 59 or the SH-2n Jazz Model. Pairs well with a distortion pedal like the SFX-05 Lava Box or the SFX-08 Power Grid distortion (available Spring 2008). Works great in most guitars set up for humbuckers, especially in balanced and warm instruments and those with rosewood fingerboards.
Nickel or gold-plated cover. Trembucker.

New!! Seymour Duncan P-Rails
Ground breaking, patent pending design allows a full-size humbucker to split to either a real deal P-90 or a traditional single coil. Perfect for a wide variety of styles including country, pop, surf, jazz, blues, classic rock, and heavy rock.
Until now, if you wanted humbucker, P-90, and vintage Strat® tones, youd have to haul three guitars to the gig. Enter P-Rails. Its a full-size humbucker that splits to either a full-size P-90 or a special Alnico-powered single-coil Rail pickup. The humbucker sound is full and expansive, owing to the mis-matched coil configuration. The P-90 is a super fat. And the Rail coils, when used together, sound like the 2 and 4 positions in a great Strat.
Seymour Duncan P-Rails are best used in a matched neck and bridge set. To get both humbucker and P-90 tones, use a two-way switch (push-pull or mini-toggle). To have humbucker and P-90 tones and bring in the added dimension of the single-coil Rail, use a three-way switch (DPDT on-off-on).
P-Rails can be used in any guitar set up for a traditional humbucker or Trembucker. A single P-Rails will bring added dimension to your guitar. However, to optimize P-Rails unique splitting capabilities and get the best single-coil Rails tones, use a neck and bridge set.
Normally, in humbucking mode, P-Rails are wired in series, for a high-output sound that works great for classic rock and heavier tones. However, when wired in parallel, the coil mismatch produces a very usable P.A.F.-style humbucker tone with less phase cancellation associated with standard parallel wired humbuckers, complete with present upper-mid bloom and pronounced string articulation.
Players
Peter Stroud / Sheryl Crow Band, Blues Saraceno, Eric Miker / Decemberadio

Seymour Duncan Antiquity Humbucker
The Antiquity humbucker is a faithful replica of the great sounding "patent applied for" humbuckers that Seth E. Lover designed in 1955. The pickup comes with slight variations in DC resistance, just like the old ones. Seymour Duncan decided to wind the bridge pickup a little hotter and better balanced for its position. The mounting ring is slightly higher for the increased pickup height. The pickup is not wax potted to retain the sound and appearance of the originals. Again, each pickup is built by hand in the "Antiquity" room and every magnet and bottom plate are signed to guarantee that you are getting an original Seymour W. Duncan Antiquity. Hookup wire includes the classic braided "push back" cloth braid wire.

Seymour Duncan APH-1 Alnico II Pro Humbucker
Warm, moderate-output humbucker. Great for jazz, blues, classic rock and slide. The Alnico 2 magnet and moderate windings yield a warm, sweet tone with more natural string vibration for great sustain. Classic rock players who get their distortion from the amp rather than the pickup love the APH-1. It allows them to back off the crunch and get beautiful clean tones with softer attack. Compared to the '59, the Alnico II Pro has a rounder sound with a spongier bass response. Comes with four-conductor hookup cable and no logo.
Often the APH-1 is used in both neck and bridge positions, eg Slash. Or, in the neck with a higher output pickup like an SH-11 Custom Custom or SHPG-1b Pearly Gates for heavier rock or hotter blues sounds from the bridge position.
For brighter toned instruments. Works especially well with maple and ebony fingerboards. Also works great with hollow and semi-hollow body guitars. Options of Nickel or gold-plated cover, Trembucker version.
Players: Slash / Velvet Revolver & Guns ‘N Roses (neck & bridge), Michael Wilton / Queensryche (bridge), Jeff Tamelier / Tower of Power (neck), Tim Mahoney / 311 (neck), Troy Van Leeuwen / Queens of the Stone Age (neck)
We do a package price on two of these pickups - look for the Slash set in Seymour Duncan pickup sets.

Seymour Duncan SH-1 '59 Humbucker
SH-1/ TB59-1b -- The most important thing about the vintage Patent Applied For pickup was its warm, smooth tone and sustain that was unlike anything heard before. It looks and sounds just like a '59.
Available in black, zebra (cream & black), reverse zebra and white as well as the following colors at no extra charge -- red, red & black, pink, green, light blue, dark blue & yellow.

Seymour Duncan SH-3 Stag Mag Humbucker
Uniquely constructed humbucker uses Alnico 2 rod pole pieces to achieve true single-coil sound when split (tapped). Recommended for classic rock, jazz, blues, funk and country. The Stag Mag uses the same type of magnets as a vintage single coil. Each coil is as powerful as a single-coil. When the pickup is split (sometimes called "tapped") such that only one coil is used, the sound is bright and glassy, like a vintage Strat® pickup. In full output, humbucking mode, the tone is rich and full with a bright high-end. Comes with four-conductor hookup cable.
Though often used in the bridge position, the Stag Mag can be used in the neck as well. Use with any guitar with traditional string spacing in the bridge position (1.925" or 48.9mm). Works with rosewood, ebony or maple fingerboards.
Make sure to use the Stag Mag with a switch to maximize the real-deal single-coil tone when split. See the Seymour Duncan website for wiring diagrams for split wiring and other cool mods.
Players: Greg Hetson / Bad Religion, Michael Ciravolo / Gene Loves Jezebel, Mike Scott / Prince, Charlie Crowe / Brooks & Dunn

Available in black, zebra (cream & black), reverse zebra and white as well as the following colors at no extra charge -- red, red & black, pink, green, light blue, dark blue & yellow.

Seymour Duncan SH-55 Seth Lover Humbucker
The SH-55 was designed jointly by Seymour and humbucker inventor Seth Lover. Just like the original 1955 P.A.F.s, the SH-55 utilizes a nickel silver bottom plate, butyrate plastic bobbins; plain enamel wire, an Alnico bar magnet, a wooden spacer, and black paper tape. The SH-55 uses a nickel silver cover instead of brass, which magnetically eliminates too much of the pickup's natural high-end tone. To be completely true to the original design and tone, the pickup is not wax potted. The tone is vintage P.A.F. - smoother and warmer than the 59 model.
The neck pickup will warm up even the coldest guitar. And the unpotted covers give the bridge pickup just enough boldness to break up early and really cut. Also available with a gold-plated cover. Single conductor cable standard. Four conductor cable available upon request. Pickup comes with flat bottom, slanted surround; springs, height screws and pickup surround screws.
