Seymour Duncan Antiquity Texas hot™ for strat® Seymour Duncan Antiquity Texas hot™ for strat®

For years now Seymour has been custom-making these pickups for his friends and special artist friends.

Each Texas Hot™ is carefully assembled and hand-wound like the traditional classics. Careful attention to details like scatter-winding ensures that the Texas Hot looks and sounds like a classic Strat® should. Seymour makes them for the player wanting the closest re-creation of a vintage pickup. Period.

The magnets are calibrated and the coils are wound "top going" with "north" magnetic polarity, the same as the early vintage models. Each cover is individually aged: not just injection molded with custom colored plastics. Each pickup comes complete with screws, schematics and vintage "push back" cloth braid hookup wire. Also, an RW/RP version is available for the middle position.

Seymour Duncan Antiquity II™ Surfer, Surfer Custom Bridge and Rw/Rp Seymour Duncan Antiquity II™ Surfer, Surfer Custom Bridge and Rw/Rp

Don't let the name fool you: the '60s Surfer™ pickup would be equally comfortable in the smoky clubs of Chicago's West Side as hanging ten at the Malibu Pier. The Antiquity II Surfer is hailed by many members of the Seymour Duncan User Group Forum as the ultimate pickup for vintage Strat® chime and quack. Whether you play Blues, West Side Soul, Surf, or Jangle Pop, the Surfer has the sweet highs and percussive lows to give you and your Strat a Free Ride on the Way Back Machine without sacrificing output or versatility.

A Custom Bridge version is available for those players needing more output from the bridge position; and an RW/RP version is available for the middle position.

Seymour Duncan Antiquity Custom Bridge for Strat® Seymour Duncan Antiquity Custom Bridge for Strat®

Seymour wound this pickup hotter for added output and fullness. Like his Texas Hot™, this pickup is both magnetically and physically aged to sound and look like a '50s pickup but with an added punch. Each comes with a specially aged cover - Seymour doesn't just mold his covers with custom colors so that they look old. The magnets are calibrated and the coils are wound "top going" with North polarity, the same as the early vintage models. Each pickup comes complete with screws, schematics, and vintage "push back" cloth braid hookup wire.

Seymour Duncan APST-1 twang banger™ Seymour Duncan APST-1 twang banger™

True single-coil pickup that makes a Strat® sound like a Tele®. Recommended for country, pop, rockabilly, blues, jam, classic rock and heavy rock. If you want the twangy, muscular punch of a gutsy Tele® in your Strat, the APST-1 is for you. One of the secrets is the copper-coated steel bottom plate. Combine that with the aggressive coil windings, the Alnico 2 magnets wrapped in plain enamel wire, and the result is a high-output, single-coil, twang-beast.

Recommended for the bridge position with either APS-2s (for a maple fingerboard) or SSL-2s (for a rosewood fingerboard) in the neck and middle positions. For all well-balanced instruments. Works equally well with maple and rosewood fingerboards.

Seymour Duncan SSL-52-1 Five-Two Nashville Studio Seymour Duncan SSL-52-1 Five-Two Nashville Studio

Extremely balanced true single-coil pickup. Recommended for country, pop, blues, classic rock and heavy rock. Alnico 2 magnets provide warmth and softer attack on the three high strings. Alnico 5 magnets provide punch and brightness on the low strings. It's like having two separate presence controls: one optimized for the high strings and one for the low strings. The result is a very balanced pickup with a bright and springy bottom end, and a smooth and rich top end. Includes white cover.

Calibrated set includes a higher-output custom bridge pickup, RW/RP middle and regular neck pickup.

For all well-balanced instruments. Works equally well with maple and rosewood fingerboards.
Hotter custom bridge version for better output balance. Reverse wound, reverse polarity (RW/RP) middle pickups for hum-canceling in positions "2" and "4" on the five-way switch.

Seymour Duncan SSL-1 Vintage Staggered Pole Pickup Seymour Duncan SSL-1 Vintage Staggered Pole Pickup

SSL-1 An exact replica of the original Alnico V Stratocaster® pickups. The same type of magnet wire is used, as well as the same number of coil windings. The staggered rod magnets are hand-ground, then aged by the exclusive Dun-Aged™ process, lacquered bobbins and cloth-braid hookup wire complete the vintage look. Every detail is included to duplicate the bell-like tone and the high-end bite that made the vintage Strat® famous.

Available in left-handed version
Available reverse wound, reverse polarity (RW/RP)
Available in calibrated sets with a RW/RP middle

Seymour Duncan SSL-2 Vintage Flat Pole Pickup Seymour Duncan SSL-2 Vintage Flat Pole Pickup

SSL-2 - Flat pole piece, vintage-voiced, true single-coil for warm instruments. Recommended for country, pop, surf, rockabilly, blues, ska and classic rock.

This pickup combines the same vintage coil design as the SSL-1, with hand ground rod Alnico 5 magnets of equal length raised above the flatwork. The flat magnet pattern provides the balanced field necessary for an even response using today's strings (unwound "G") and flatter neck radii. The more even output response is noticed when bending strings. Like the SSL-1, the pickup is clean and vintage-like with a bright "bell" tone that has a sharper attack characteristic compared to the APS-2. Comes with waxed cloth hookup cable and vintage-style "keyed" bottom plate.

Calibrated set available with RW/RP middle pickup.
Seymour Duncan SSL-3 Hot Strat Seymour Duncan SSL-3 Hot Strat

High output true single-coil for warm instruments. Recommended for country, pop, blues, classic rock and heavy rock.

This is the next step up from the SSL-5 and SSL-6 with more sustain, fullness, and output - and less treble response. The raised flat Alnico 5 pole pieces are taller for a stronger and deeper magnetic field. Extra coil windings provide extra power making this pickup great for heavier music styles. Only supplied with a white cover.

Calibrated set available with RW/RP middle pickup. Many players use an SSL-3 in the bridge position with vintage output pickups, like SSL-2's, in the neck and middle for tonal versatility.

Seymour Duncan SSL-4 Quarter-Pound™ for Strat - Flat Seymour Duncan SSL-4 Quarter-Pound™ for Strat - Flat

SSL-4 More than double the power of a stock pickup. You get a fat, punchy sound, clean at lower volumes and high output when cranked. Lead playing with this pickup easily cuts above a humbucker. The hand polished, quarter-inch wide magnets are matched with a powerful coil winding to deliver great sustain.
Available RW/RP. Tapped version for dual output levels.
Available in calibrated sets with a RW/RP middle
Seymour Duncan SSL-5 Custom Staggered Seymour Duncan SSL-5 Custom Staggered

High output true single-coil for warm instruments. Perfect for Texas blues rock, classic rock and heavy rock.

Though it looks like the SSL-1 and has that distinct vintage tone, the SSL-5's over-wound coil yields higher output, more sustain and great harmonics. The result is a pickup that rocks hard and cuts through the mix, but cleans up nicely when you back off the volume. Includes white cover.

Calibrated set available with RW/RP middle pickup. Many players use an SSL-5 in the bridge position with vintage output pickups, like SSL-1's, in the neck and middle for tonal versatility.

Seymour Duncan SSL-6 Custom Flat Pole Pickup Seymour Duncan SSL-6 Custom Flat Pole Pickup

Beefed up true single-coil for warm instruments. Perfect for Texas blues rock, classic rock and heavy rock. This pickup combines the same coil design as the SSL-5, with hand ground rod Alnico 5 magnets of equal length raised above the flatwork. The flat magnet pattern provides the balanced field necessary for an even response using today's strings (unwound "G") and flatter neck radii. The more even output response is noticed when bending strings. Like the SSL-5, the pickup is powerful and present, great for over-driven tones. Includes white cover.

Calibrated set available with RW/RP middle pickup.

Many players use an SSL-6 in the bridge position with vintage output pickups, like SSL-2's, in the neck and middle for tonal versatility. For heavier and brighter-toned instruments with ash or alder bodies. Works well with maple or rosewood fingerboards. Reverse wound, reverse polarity (RW/RP) middle pickups for hum-canceling in positions "2" and "4" on the five-way switch.

Seymour Duncan SSL-7 Quarter Pound for Strat - Staggered Seymour Duncan SSL-7 Quarter Pound for Strat - Staggered

High output true single-coil. Recommended for blues, classic rock, garage, heavy rock, classic metal and nu-metal. Similar tonality to the SSL-4 Quarter-Pound Flat but with a staggered magnet pattern. Like the SSL-4, the hand polished, quarter-inch diameter magnets are matched with a powerful coil winding to deliver great sustain. Does not use a cover.

Calibrated set available with RW/RP middle pickup. Many players use an SSL-7 in the bridge position with vintage output pickups, like SSL-1's, in the neck and middle for tonal versatility. For any balanced Strat®. Works especially well with rosewood fingerboards.

Reverse wound, reverse polarity (RW/RP) middle pickups for hum canceling in positions "2" and "4" on the five-way switch. Tapped version for dual output levels.

Seymour Duncan APS-1 Alnico II Pro™ Staggered Seymour Duncan APS-1 Alnico II Pro™ Staggered

APS-1 Alnico II magnets are the musical magnets. Their softer magnetic field provides a warmer, sweeter tone and eliminates the brittle, glassy sound associated with newer instruments. The result is a freer, more natural string vibration for greater sustain. Available in a left-handed version with a reversed staggered magnet patter for lefties or for right-handed players striving for that classic Hendrix sound.

Available in left-handed version - contact us.

Available reverse wound, reverse polarity (RW/RP)
Available in calibrated sets with a RW/RP middle

Seymour Duncan APS-2 Alnico II Pro™ Flat Seymour Duncan APS-2 Alnico II Pro™ Flat

APS-2 This pickup combines the same coil design as its predecessor, the APS-1, with rod magnets of equal length raised above the flatwork. The flat magnet pattern provides the balanced field necessary for an even response using today's strings and flatter neck radii. The Alnico II magnets' softer magnetic field creates a warmer, smoother sound and eliminates the brittle, glassy sound associated with new instruments.
Available RW/RP. Available in calibrated sets with a RW/RP middle
Seymour Duncan STK-S1 Classic Stack Seymour Duncan STK-S1 Classic Stack
STK-S1 classic stack® Original stacked humbucker design removes hum and preserves traditional Strat® tone. Recommended for country, pop, surf, rockabilly, blues, ska and classic rock. Time-tested alnico magnet design removes 50-cycle hum, but leaves the great tone of a classic Strat®. Comes with four-conductor hookup cable.
Seymour Duncan STKS-2 Hot Stack® Seymour Duncan STKS-2 Hot Stack®

STK-S2 The complex and distinctive sound of the old Stratocaster® guitars was due to the narrow, sharply focused magnetic field of the single coil pickup. With staggered magnet heights, our Classic Stack® pickup duplicates this sought after sound. By stacking two coils on top of each other, the annoying noise and hum of the single coil pickup is eliminated. Available in white or black. Four conductor cable

Seymour Duncan STK-S4 Classic Stack Plus Seymour Duncan STK-S4 Classic Stack Plus

New patent applied for design to remove hum and preserve traditional single coil tone. Recommended for country, pop, surf, rockabilly, blues, ska and classic rock.

Revolutionary design injects tunable “negative hum” into the pickup circuit. Each unit is individually factory pre-tuned to offer the optimal traditional single coil sound with no hum.
For all well-balanced instruments. Works equally well with maple and rosewood fingerboards. Three-conductor cable allows splitting for true single coil mode. When three STK-S4s are all split, the middle pickup is RW/RP allowing hum-cancellation when used with the neck or bridge pickup.

Seymour Duncan JB Jr.™ Seymour Duncan JB Jr.™

SJBJ-1 This twin coil design pickup gives you the character of our popular JB™ model humbucker in a single coil size. Its adjustable pole pieces more closely emulate the magnetic field of a full size humbucker and allow you to fine tune the balance of your strings: a first for a humbucker this size. You can expect great harmonics and a sweet high-end. Use a complete set of Juniors or pair one in the bridge with our Duckbuckers in the neck and middle and have the quietest working man's Strat® around. U.S. Patent No. Des. 355,207.
Available in black or white
Four conductor cable

Seymour Duncan Strat Hot Rails™ Seymour Duncan Strat Hot Rails™

The SHR-1 Hot Rails™ is one of the highest output pickups made by Seymour Duncan. It's a humbucker that fits into a normal single coil slot, so you get the noise canceling effect without cutting a large hole in your guitar. The two thin blades with powerful coil windings give you the incredible sustain and a fat, full sound that's needed for playing heavier rock music. This pickup responds to the subtlest finger movements. Available in black or white. Four conductor cable

Seymour Duncan Cool Rails™ Seymour Duncan Cool Rails™

SCR-1 Created by popular demand from players, Cool Rails™ use the same twin coil design as our Hot Rails™, but are wound to produce a clear, bright, dynamic sound. Hotter and louder than both the Vintage Staggered (SSL-1) Hot Stack® (STK-S2) pickups, Cool Rails are for players who need a loud, punchy single coil sound for stage work. Cool Rails are great on their own and also make an excellent match on a guitar with a hot humbucker in the bridge position.
Available in black or white
Four conductor cable

Seymour Duncan SVR-1 vintage rails™ Seymour Duncan SVR-1 vintage rails™

Vintage output single-coil-sized "rails" humbucker with the sound of a vintage Strat®. Perfect for country, pop, surf, rockabilly, blues, ska and classic rock. Vintage Rails use a unique split rail, twin coil design and special (parallel) wiring to achieve true, vintage, single-coil tone without hum. The sound is clean, clear and bright, with all of the "quack" you love in the notch positions. Though tonally similar to Duckbuckers, the rails design eliminates any potential dropout in string bending. Comes with four-conductor cable. USA Patent No. 5,525,750.

Available for both bridge and neck/middle positions.

For an incredibly versatile guitar, use an SVR-1n in the middle position along with an SHR-1b Hot Rails in the bridge and an SCR-1n Cool Rails in the neck.

Seymour Duncan SLSD-1 George Lynch L'l Screamin' Demon Seymour Duncan SLSD-1 George Lynch L'l Screamin' Demon

Moderate output single-coil-sized humbucker. Great for classic rock, jazz-rock fusion, heavy rock and aggressive instrumental rock. Like its big brother the Screamin' Demon™ humbucker, this li'l savage combines a big, open sound with just a subtle hint of "glass." George asked for a pickup that could scream and provide rich harmonics, but would clean up when he backed it off. Using a unique slotted and Allen head screw combination that gives each coil a slightly different magnetic field, the tone is big and percussive without being too harsh. Comes with four-conductor hookup cable. USA Patent No. Des. 355,207.

Available for both bridge and neck/middle positions. Often used in the bridge position and matched with a pair of Duckbuckers, or a Duckbucker in the middle and a Little '59 in the neck. For all well-balanced instruments. Works equally well with maple and rosewood fingerboards.
