The first stop bar tailpieces were made from cast aluminium and anyone who has ever handled one will know that they are considerably lighter than the later units made from cast Mazak (a Zinc alloy) - hence 'Featherweight'.
This is a modern cast aluminium reproduction of Gibson's classic stop bar tail piece and includes the sharp ridge typical of the original units. 3 1/4" stud spacing as per Gibson, with USA thread studs and bushings.
For 'Junior' and 'Special' type instruments versions with additional intonation adjustment screws are available.
