EMG-SLV Strat Pickup
Designed for the Ernie Ball "Luke" guitar, EMG has increased the windings on the single coil to an epic level. The SLV guitar pickup's tone is probably meatier than any single coil you've ever heard. They also hid away the pole pieces for a more uniform look to the instrument. The SA preamp gives the SLV its classic EMG sound while the flat poles put the pickup closer to the strings for more output and a punchier attack.
Package Includes: EMG's exclusive Quik-Connect cables (3), prewired control set including volume, 2 tone controls, 5-way selection switch (black & white knobs), output jack, and battery clip, screws & springs.

EMG-SV Strat Pickup
During the "Retro" trend in the early 90's, EMG decided to develop their first "vintage" style pickup, the EMG-SV. Using the same original string interface (staggered Alnico 5 pole pieces), the SV is tone modeled after the 1959 Strat with that familiar peaky response at around 3000 Hz giving it that "plucky" percussive attack. Because it's truly a marriage of vintage design and state of the art electronics, it has a much smoother, less scratchy distortion sound, and more output. If you're looking for a pickup that departs from the usual stop, but takes a different route, the EMG-SV is a perfect choice.

EMG-SA Strat Pickup
The EMG-SA pickup combines the attributes of the early Strat* sound but with an added midrange response and higher output, giving it "bell-like" ringing harmonics and increased sustain. One single Alnico bar magnet delivers classic overdrive with a smooth midrange distortion, while still retaining the familiar high-end of a single-coil pickup. These characteristics provide greater versatility than what is normally found in single-coil pickups. Favorites of Steve Lukather and David Gilmour just to name two, the EMG-SA is EMG's most popular

EMG-S Strat Pickup
The EMG-S pickup features the same construction as the EMG-SA but replaces the Alnico magnet with ceramic. It has the equivalent output of the EMG-SA but the EMG-S features a brighter tone quality accentuated in the upper middle to high frequency response (similar to later model Strat pickups). By using the EMG Tone Modeling technique, the EMG-S has a "sparkle" with added definition for depth and increased sensitivity. Country artists such as Vince Gill prefer the EMG-S because it can translate a player's technique faithfully.
Package Includes: EMG's exclusive Quik-Connect cable, prewired split shaft volume/tone control set, output jack, battery clip set, screws & springs.
Options Available: Black, White, or Ivory cover cap.

EMG-SAV Strat Pickup
EMG has worked with Steve Lukather of Toto for several years now and the latest result is the EMG-SAV. They developed the SAV for Steve's "Luke" Guitar made by Ernie Ball, but for Steve they added their special touch. The windings were increased for a meatier tone, they hid away the pole pieces for a more uniform look to the instrument, and they used the original preamp from the SA pickup with flat Alnico 5 pole pieces hidden under the cover cap. Still with EMG's classic sound, the flat poles put the pickup closer to the strings for more output and a punchier attack.
Package Includes: EMG's exclusive Quik-Connect cable, prewired split shaft volume/tone control set, output jack, battery clip set, screws & springs.
Options Available: Black, White, or Ivory cover cap.

EMG S1
The S1 pickup for Strat type guitars has a new stacked design, high output and is extremely quiet. Perfect to complement high output dual-coil pickups in the same guitar. The S1 features a prominent mid-range while the Low Frequency response is clear, but very full and powerful. All HZ Pickups have EMG's exclusive 5-wire quik-connect output allowing any number of wiring combinations, and are fully shielded for a minimum of noise. String grounding is recommended to further decrease noise. Options Available: ONLY AVAILABLE IN BLACK.

The S2 Pickup is the prototypical Strat style pickup still utilizing the stacked design. If you're looking for that true single coil tone, this is it. The highs are bright and peaky, with just the right mix of mids. The low end is clear and bright, but is there when you need it. All HZ Pickups have EMG's exclusive 5-wire quik-connect output allowing any number of wiring combinations, and are fully shielded for a minimum of noise. String grounding is recommended to further decrease noise. Options Available: ONLY AVAILABLE IN BLACK.

EMG S3
The S3 is is the equivalent of the S1 with a solid cover cap. Perfect to complement high output dual-coil pickups in the same guitar. The Low Frequency response is clear, yet very full and powerful. All HZ Pickups have EMG's exclusive 5-wire quik-connect output allowing any number of wiring combinations, and are fully shielded for a minimum of noise. String grounding is recommended to further decrease noise. Options Available: ONLY AVAILABLE IN BLACK.

EMG S4
The S4 has a "rail" design with side-by-side coils, a ceramic magnet, and a solid cover cap. It's not overwound like most rail pickups, for beefier low-end and midrange, but has the crisp highs of a traditional single-coil pickup. Great for heavy rock. All HZ Pickups have EMG's exclusive 5-wire quik-connect output allowing any number of wiring combinations, and are fully shielded for a minimum of noise. String grounding is recommended to further decrease noise.
Options Available: ONLY AVAILABLE IN BLACK.
