New !!! DiMarzio D Activator 7 Neck (DP719 ) & Bridge (DP720)
Active humbuckers have a distinctive sound - powerful, clean, open-sounding, with excellent harmonic overtones and very tight lows. The down side for many players is that they also sound cold, have limited dynamics and run out of headroom when played hard. And of course, they need batteries. In 2006 DiMarzio took a close look at the most popular active neck and bridge humbuckers to see if they could capture all of the good qualities and eliminate the disadvantages. The D Activator neck and bridge models are the result. They have the same loud yet clean sound as the active humbuckers players are familiar with, and killer harmonics. They also respond instantly to hard or light pick attack. In a word, they rock. And they dont need batteries.

DiMarzio D Sonic7 (DP706 )
The new DiMarzio Dropsonic is a high-output bridge humbucker designed for the extended low end and heavy chords that dropped tuning delivers, plus serious treble response for single-note solos. The DropSonic isn't just a one-sound pickup, either. The patented design utilizes 4-conductor wiring to access 2 different single-coil sounds plus parallel humbucking mode, for 3 additional sounds that are distinctive and versatile. As used by John Petrucci.
The standard colour for 7 string pickups is black.

DiMarzio X2N7 (DP705)
The X2N is a take-no-prisoners, in-your-face humbucker. Twin, wide-bar pole pieces give the X2N a nasty, dangerous look - and rightly so. DiMarzio's highest gain pickup excels at thrashing your amplifier into screaming overdrive. Put one in the bridge position for a powerful boost in the voltage the amp sees from your guitar.
The result is a hot sound with relentless drive. If your amp needs to see more gain in order to go over-the-top in the overdrive department, the X2N's output and EQ are focused to slam the signal through with authority. Not that the X2N is completely single-minded: 4-conductor wiring permits single-coil and parallel humbucking operation for a wide selection of hot, musical sounds. Black only.
Recommended for bridge position on solidbody guitars.

DiMarzio PAF7 (DP759)
Classic vintage tone - a smooth, almost voice-like quality - the PAF® has that intangible swell to the notes after attack. It possesses vintage output, and breathes freely with an open, warm character. Played flat-out through non-master volume tube amps, the PAF® recreates the deep character of the great plug-in, turn-up and wail school of tone.
Modern potting techniques and tight, consistent winding eliminate squeal and microphonics common to the originals. Here is solid tone for both neck and bridge positions. Balances well in the neck with hotter bridge humbuckers. Recommended for: Neck and bridge positions in all solid, semisolid and hollowbody guitars.
There are two basic types of vintage humbuckers: those that have a hotter, like new tone and those that have a softer, aged sound. The Air ClassicTM has the softer sound, and the PAF® is a little tighter and tougher - very useful for cleaning up muddy-sounding neck positions. Its also good as a bridge pickup combined with neck & middle single-coils: not loud enough to overwhelm them, and bright enough to blend well.
The standard colour for 7-string pickups is black.

DiMarzio Blaze Custom Pickup (DP703)
The Blaze Bridge Model has a very distinct clean overdrive sound. The Blaze Custom Bridge was built for 7-string players who prefer a hotter bridge pickup with more mid-range. Because more power is focused in the middle of the guitars range, the Blaze Custom Bridge will overdrive an amp more easily and the sound will be fatter. We still don't want the seventh string to get muddy, so we used our dual-resonance design to add some crispness to the low end. You'll get more attack and hotter harmonic overtones, too. Recommended For: Bridge position.
This is designed to be a soloists' pickup. We brought the power up a little from the Blaze bridge model, rounded the high end off and increased the mids. We did this with fully-cranked amps and overdrive pedals in mind, but you can also get clean chord sounds with the four-conductor parallel and splitting options.

DiMarzio Blaze Bridge Pickup (DP702)
7-string guitars are hard to amplify. Most players tune the seventh string to a low B (or even A) and it's a real trick to get a big, solid tone from the other strings without the seventh turning to mud. Blaze humbuckers solve the problem by tuning the 2 coils to different frequencies. Low notes are fat and highs are bright and clean. Recommended for the bridge position.
The Blaze Bridge Model bears a strong resemblance to the Steve's Special. The mids are scooped out, and both treble and bass are boosted. The hot bass response gives the seventh string a lot of impact, while opening up the midrange keeps it from getting muddy. This enables the Blaze Bridge Model to handle both fast soloing and clean chords, because individual notes won't smear together with heavy overdrive, and clean sounds have an almost "hi-fi" quality.

DiMarzio Blaze Middle Pickup (DP701)
Seven-string guitars are hard to amplify. Most players tune the seventh string to a low B (or even A), and it's a real trick to get a big, solid tone from the other strings without the seventh turning to mud. The BlazeTM single-coil is exceptionally tight, and is designed to be a match for the BlazeTM 'buckers in split mode. Both lows and highs are bright and clean.
14K ohms may seem like a lot of resistance for a single-coil, but the BlazeTM is not at all muddy - it's bright and even-sounding through the entire 7-string frequency range.

DiMarzio Blaze Neck Pickup (DP700)
This is the model originally designed for the neck position of the Ibanez® Universe. The neck position needs to be warm, but not too fat (nobody wants the low B sounding like a tuba, right?), so we scooped out some of the mids to brighten up the low notes and we kept the power down to a reasonable level to avoid unnecessary sludge.
